Mr. Wallace M. Embrey, 90, of Monrovia and formerly of Derwood, died Friday, April 9, 2010, at his home. Mr. Embrey was the husband of the late Ethel F. Embrey, who died in 1997.
Mr. Embrey retired after 30 years as a laboratory technician with the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda. Mr. Embrey was a member of Bush Creek Church of the Brethren in Monrovia. He was also a member of the 4-H All Stars.
Mr. Embrey is survived by his daughter, Wanda L. Embrey, of Monrovia. He is also survived by three sisters, Bessie Moore of Forestville, Pearl Cavender of West Virginia and Ruby Rogers of Hagerstown. He is also remembered by his goddaughter, Julie Pipple. Mr. Embrey was predeceased by four brothers, Paul, Irving, Alby and Wayne Embrey; and two sisters, Venus Fowler and Mabel Dove.
