1. Eligibility:
a. The contest is open to all attendees of the 74th Montgomery County Agricultural Fair.
b. Participants must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent to participate.
c. Employees and immediate family members of the fair organizers/board members are not eligible to participate.
2. Contest Duration:
a. The contest will run for the duration of the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair.
b. Each day, Owlbert, a display sign, will be placed in a different location around the fairgrounds.
3. Participation:
a. To participate, attendees must find Owlbert and scan the QR code attached to it.
b. Participants must ensure their mobile devices are equipped with a QR code scanning application.
c. After scanning the QR code participants will have to enter their email address to be entered into the daily prize draw.
d. By submitting your email address, you agree to receive future email communications, including promotional discounts from the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair. You may opt out at any time.
4. Photo Submission:
a. Participants have the option to take a photo in the area where Owlbert is found, photo does not need to include Owlbert.
b. To double their chances of winning, participants can post the photo on their social media accounts and tag the fair’s official social media page and use the hashtag #FoundOwlbert.
c. Only publicly shared posts will be considered for doubling the chances of winning.
5. Ag Education Question Submission:
a. Participants have the option to answer the Ag Education Question attached after scanning the QR Code for an additional entry into the daily contest.
6. Prize:
a. Each day, one winner will be randomly selected from the pool of participants who entered their email address after scanning the QR code.
b. The prize for each day is $74.
c. Winners will be notified through the contact information provided during the QR code scanning process.
d. Prize money will be distributed by the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair within 30 days after the conclusion of the fair.
7. Multiple Entries:
a. Participants may enter the contest once per day by scanning Owlbert’s QR code.
b. However, participants may only win once during the entire duration of the fair.
c. Posting multiple photos on social media will not increase the chances of winning, but will only double the chances for the first photo posted.
8. Fair Organizer’s Rights:
a. The fair organizers reserve the right to modify or cancel the contest at any time for any reason.
b. The fair organizers may disqualify participants who engage in unfair practices or violate the rules.
c. The fair organizers reserve the right to use submitted photos for promotional purposes.
9. Legal Compliance:
a. This contest complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
b. Participants are responsible for ensuring their participation in the contest is compliant with any legal obligations, such as obtaining necessary permissions for posting photos on social media.
10. Liability:
a. The fair organizers will not be held responsible for any injuries, damages, or losses incurred during the participation in the contest.
b. Participants agree to release the fair organizers from any liability associated with the contest.
11. Agreement to Rules:
a. By participating in the contest, participants agree to abide by these rules and decisions made by the fair organizers.

The Arts, Crafts, Hobbies and Photography Department is holding a special contest, My Best Fair Photo, during the 2023 Fair!
There will be four themed contests during the week:
Theme 1 “Children of All Ages”: Entries received noon Sunday, 8/13 through noon on Wednesday, 8/16. Judging will be held the evening of 8/16.
Theme 2 “Fair Flavors”: Entries received noon Sunday, 8/13 through noon on Wednesday, 8/16. Judging will be held the evening of 8/16.
Theme 3 “Moovin Around the Fair”: Entries received from noon Wednesday, 8/16 through noon Saturday, 8/19. Judging will be held the evening of 8/19.
Theme 4 “Fair Montage”: Entries received from noon Wednesday, 8/16 through noon Saturday, 8/19. Judging will be held the evening of 8/19.
Only one entry per person per contest will be accepted. Entries will be received using Google Form from 12noon to 8pm daily starting Sunday, August 13. (Entrants can find the Google Form on the website www.mcagfair.com or at the Arts & Crafts Building #3).
Ribbons will be awarded to the first, second, and third place photos. A champion for each contest will be selected from the first place winners and will receive a Family 4-pack of tickets to the 2024 Montgomery County Agricultural Fair.
The special contest entries can be picked up on release Sunday, August 20, from 1-4pm.
Tuesday, August 15th, 10:30 am, in the 4-H Building Exhibit Room
Come and show your artistic side and create a masterpiece with cheese!! The Fair will provide you with a two pound slab of cheese to carve your creation. You will be given 30 minutes to carve, some of the categories given for carving are most imaginative, most Fair related, most dairy related, etc. Everyone gets a ribbon. Afterwards, visit The Big Cheese Booth to have one of the Fair’s famous grilled cheese sandwiches and to see your artwork displayed. In the Cheese House located behind The Big Cheese.

1. Number of participants is limited to 12.
2. Must be an amateur carver.
3. Fair will provide a block of cheese, bring your own tools (example: paring knife, etc.)
4. Entries will be displayed in the Cheese House for the remainder of the Fair. You are welcome to pick up your sculpture the Sunday after Fair ends.
5. Participants must be at least 12 years old.
6. A confirmation letter for sign-ups will be mailed prior to event.

G Street Fabrics will once again team with the Home Arts Department to host a one day sewing contest at the Fair. Teams will pick up contest materials at G Street Fabrics during the period of August 5th – 11th, and sew at the Fair in Heritage Hall on Saturday, August 12. The winning team will earn a $300 gift certificate to G Street Fabrics.

Rules:
1. All toilets and toilet seats must be cleaned and sanitized.
2. Toilets and toilet seats will not be furnished by the Fair.
3. Entries can be pre-registered using the form below and mailed to:

8. All entries must be picked up on Sunday, August 21, from 1pm–3 pm. Any entry not picked up by this time becomes the property of the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair.
9. The committee chairperson reserves the right to refuse any objectionable exhibit.
