Mr. Tracy Enoch Stiles, 45, of 18848 Printz Road, Boonsboro, formerly of Clearbrook, Va., died Saturday, Nov. 4, at his home.
He was the husband of Janet Shank Stiles, his wife of 20 years.
Born July 9, 1955, in Olney, he was a son of the late Robert Yewell and Hazel Virginia Glover Stiles.
Mr. Stiles was a 1977 graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
He and his wife farmed Shenandoah Jerseys on a dairy farm near Boonsboro. Formerly, he was in partnership with his brothers at Waverly Farm in Clearbrook.
He was a member of Benevola United Methodist Church.
While in college, Mr. Stiles was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho agriculture fraternity and the Virginia Tech Dairy Science Club.
He had been named the William Etgen Alumnus from Virginia Tech Dairy Science, received the W. Ray Murley Virginia Distinguished Dairyman Award from Virginia Dairymen Association, 1981 Outstanding Young Jersey Dairyman Award from American Jersey Cattle Association, 1999 Master Breeder for American Jersey Association, National Distinguished Cattle Breeder Award from the National Dairy Shrine, and the Genetic Achievement Award from the Maryland Jersey Cattle Association. He had the fourth highest Jersey herd in milk production in the entire United States.
Mr. Stiles was a board member of the Mideast Dairy Herd Improvement Association, Washington County Ag Expo and Maryland Jersey Cattle Association. He was a charter member of Maryland Dairy Industry Association, past president of Virginia Jersey Cattle Club and Frederick County Virginia Dairy Herd Improvement Association.
Surviving in addition to his wife are one daughter, Jessica Louise Stiles, at home; one son, Robert Tracy Stiles, at home; one sister, Debra Stiles Callison of Staunton, Va.; and three brothers, Kenneth Y. Stiles, Charles Michael Stiles and Paul L. Stiles, all of Clearbrook.
Mr. Stiles will also be remembered by his godfather, Leonard E. Donaldson.
Mr. Stiles was preceded in death by one brother, Blair W. Stiles; and his godmother, Goldie Mae Donaldson.
