R. Marie Smith, 89, of Frederick, MD, passed away on March 9, 2020.

Marie was the loving wife to the late Roy Lee Smith.

Born on March 14, 1930 in Virginia, she was the daughter to the late Herbert Stokes and Cora Lee Stokes Cooley.

Marie would have celebrated her 90th birthday this upcoming Saturday. 

Surviving are three children, Jeanette Broadwater, Linda Jenkins, Thomas Smith; one sister, Alice Brinegar; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Marie was also loved by many nieces and nephews. 

Along with her parents and husband, Marie was preceded in death by her step-father, Marion Cooley, two brothers; Charles Stokes, Wesley Stokes and one sister; Helen Cornell.
