Mr. Roger Dale Hoover, 65, of Germantown, died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at his home.
Born July 31, 1948 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Layton B. and Waunita Shoemaker Hoover. He was the husband of Ina Frances Hoover who died in 2004.
Mr. Hoover was a 1966 graduate of Gaithersburg High School. He was employed as a contract carrier with the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of the Mason-Dixon Historical Society, Friends of The Agricultural History Farm Park Inc. and a life member of both the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair and the North American Hunt Club. He enjoyed antique tractors, hunting, music, model railroading and spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Crystal Robertson and husband Russell of Middletown, Aaron Hoover of Germantown and Lisa Hoover of Waynesboro, PA; a son, Dwain Hoover and wife Verna Boucher of Helena, MT; 6 grandchildren, Joey and Joshua Robertson; Cody Lee, Jake and Emma Kay Hoover; and Caitlyn Muir; a brother, Ronald W. Hoover of Gettysburg, PA and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Jesse Lee Hoover.
