Mrs. Kathleen Riedel Cumberledge, fondly known to many as “Kac” or “Kathy,” 62, of Clarksburg, died suddenly early Wednesday evening, Feb. 3, 2010, at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, Rockville. She was the wife of Mr. George Earl Cumberledge, her husband of 21 years.
Born Oct. 6, 1947, in Washington, she was the daughter of the late John Edgar and Margaret Kathleen Welsh Riedel.
Mrs. Cumberledge was employed for the United States Department of Energy and was a lifelong member of the Montgomery County Agricultural Society.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are stepdaughters, Kelly Sue Clark of Waynesburg, Pa., and Rebel Lee Marks and husband, Thomas, of Clarksburg, W.Va.; grandsons, Justin Matthew Haines and Zachary William Clark; family friend, Glenn Carpenter; and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins, including cousins Ronnie and Melvin Smith, both of Charles County.
