F. Elizabeth Dorsey, 81, died May 16, at her home in Monrovia. She was the wife of William Bradley Dorsey for 62 years. Born in Damascus, she was a daughter of the late Rufus Uriah Waters and the late Bertha O. Mullinix Waters Burdette. Mrs. Dorsey was a homemaker and for many years she and her husband lived in Boyds, while farming and raising their seven children. She also provided daycare for 75 children.She was an avid supporter of the Montgomery County Agricultural Center and Fair and the 4-H Club for over 50 years. She was a member of the Montgomery County Farm Bureau and very active with the Montgomery General Hospital Annual Picnic and the Barnesville Picnic Fundraisers.
Surviving besides her husband are seven children,
Robert W. Dorsey and his wife JoAnn of St. Petersburg, Fla.;
Mary Virginia Madden and her husband James Neal of Apple Springs, Texas;
Larry W. Dorsey and his wife Joann of Boyds;
William E. Dorsey and his wife Nancy of Monrovia;
Mack L. Dorsey of Grand Lakes, Colo.;
Jean O. Purkey and JoAnn D. Bice, both of Gaithersburg.
Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild and one half-brother Roger L. Burdette of Germantown. Mrs. Dorsey was preceded in death by a great grandson, Bradley Thomas Bowman; two brothers, William Uriah Waters and Rufus Edwin Waters; and one half-brother Paul D. Burdette Jr.
