Dot chaired the Accessories Department in the Home Arts Building for many years. Her husband Kenneth also helped in the Home Arts Department during registration, he always greeted the entrants with a smile.
Dorothy “Dot” Mae Slicer of Flagler Beach passed away on May 11, 2019 at the age of 88 at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House. She was born on October 1, 1930 in Washington, D.C. to the late Raymond Edward and Dorothy Frances Donohue (Jobling). Dot was a wonderful homemaker and loving raised her family. In her later years she came to live with her son where she enjoyed spending time with him and his family. Dot was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Anderson Slicer in 2014. Survivors include her sons, Keith (Gochka) Slicer, Bruce (Theresa) Slicer and Kevin Slicer; grandchildren, Apryl Lovell, Jason Slicer, Alexa Slicer, Micah Slicer, Jessica O’Brien and Katelyn Eaton; great-grandchildren, Noah Lovell, Harper Lovell, Landon Slicer, Jacob Slicer, Cade Eaton and Norah O’Brien; brother, Raymond Donahue; sister, Barbara Edwards. Dot will be laid to rest next to her husband at Fort Lincoln Cemetery in Brentwood, Maryland
