Betsy A. Stabler passed away at her home on February 12, 2021. Betsy was born on December 15, 1940 in Montgomery County Maryland. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert N. Stabler and her three children, Robin Lechlider (Fred), Randy Stabler and Pam Velisek (Doug). Six Grandchildren David Lechlider (Kimmi), Kimberly Smith (Kyle), Kelsey Thomas (Chris), Shelby Stambaugh (Bud), Bobby Velisek and Emily Velisek. As well as 6 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents Woodrow and Myrtle Adams, sisters Annabelle Kindred, Nita Pumphrey and brother Woodrow Adams, Jr.
Betsy was a graduate of Gaithersburg High School and Hagerstown Business School. She is a past member of the Women’s Board of MGH for 56 years of which she served as President and on many committees. She also served on the Board of Directors of Montgomery General Hospital. She was a life member of the Montgomery County Agriculture Center, where she served as co-chair of the Fair food Committee for many years. She also enjoyed her monthly get together with the Wednesday Club of Sandy Spring.
Betsy was an active 4-H mom. She helped many years with the Montgomery County 4-H Livestock Sale. She enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren participate at Fairs and Breed Cattle Shows. She also enjoyed the time she spent at the family lake house in Deep Creek Maryland.
