Admission Information

Tickets are $13.88 online and $18 at the gate.

 

Children 11 and under free every day!

Senior Day Brought to you by Adventist Health Care Shady Grove Medical Center
Tuesday, August 12 – Free admission for ages 62 and over from 10 am to 5 pm

Military Day Brought to you by US Army
Thursday, August 14 – Free admission all day for active military in uniform or with a valid military ID from 10 am to 5 pm

Ride Discounts

RIDE WRISTBANDS DO NOT INCLUDE ADMISSION OR PARKING

***ALL FUN TAGG reusable cards will have an addition cost of $2.00. This cost is not included in the price of credits, or wristbands.***

 

Advanced One-Day Ride Wristband – available online only, through Thurs. August 7 at midnight for $30.00. (Does not include Fair admission fee)

 

OPENING DAY! Friday, August 8 – One-day ride wristbands will cost $25.00, You may ride until Midnight only. Must be purchased at a Carnival Ticket Booth before 11:00 PM. Ride all rides but Air Raid/Speed, Ride wristbands WILL be placed on wrist at time of purchase, Absolutely no exceptions. sponsored by WJLA – ABC 7. (Does not include Fair admission fee).

 

Monday, August 11 & Tuesday, August 12 – Family Day Ride Specials

Monday and Tuesday ONLY one-day ride wristbands will cost $25.00 ALL DAY, you may ride until 11pm! Must be purchased at a Carnival Ticket Booth Before 10:00 PM. Ride all rides but Air Raid/Speed, Ride wristbands WILL be placed on wrist at time of purchase, Absolutely no exceptions. (Does not include Fair admission fee).

 

One-day ride wristbands can only be purchased at the Carnival Fun Tagg Kiosk stations located in the Carnival area of the Fairgrounds, or online. The Air Raid/Speed ride is excluded from the ride wristband offer. All wristbands are only good until 11pm^ or midnight* on the day they are purchased. Wristbands are good for all ages.

* midnight end time on Friday, August 8 to Saturday, August 9 and Friday, August 15 to Saturday, August 16

Animals

 

Animal exhibits in Old MacDonald’s Barn are open each day beginning at 3pm Friday, August 8th.

Other Animal Barns, and Exhibit building will open on Sunday, August 10th at Noon!

 

The Barns display all types and breeds of various animals, such as:

  • Cows
  • Goats
  • Horses
  • Pigs
  • Poultry
  • Rabbits
  • Sheep
  • Alpaca
  • and sometimes babies too!

Contests

 

There are many contests you may participate in for free, such as:

 

  • Amateur Flower Arranging Contest Sponsored by Bell Flowers
  • Toilet Decorating Sponsored by Stang Plumbing
  • Cheese Carving
  • Project G Street
  • You Be The Judge

Shows, Displays, and Demonstrations

ALL OTHER ANIMAL AND BARN EXHIBITS, HOME ARTS, ARTS & CRAFTS AND OLD TIMERS BUILDINGS WILL OPEN SUNDAY, AUGUST 10, AT 12NOON

 

There is an abundance of 4-H, livestock, and exhibits on display at the Fair.

Be sure to visit the Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center Mooo-ternity Ward & Milking Parlor!

 

  • Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center Mooo-ternity Ward – You can check-in frequently to see if a calf is on its way or taking its first steps. You will be able to view the pregnant cows and those that are a few days old with their mothers all day long.
  • The Milking Parlor – This is an excellent educational experience that demonstrates where our milk comes from.

 

The Fair has many interesting displays and demonstrations, such as:

 

  • Home Arts in Bldg. #6 – Here you can see baked goods, quilts, sewing projects, etc.
  • 4-H in Bldg. #6 – Where you can see the 4-H projects ranging from Farm & Garden to art projects.
  • Arts & Crafts in Bldg. #3 – Entries of all ages are displayed where you can view the community’s works of art.
  • Photography in Bldg. #3 – Entries of all ages are displayed where you can view the community’s photographs.
  • Farm & Garden in Bldg. #2 – Here you can see fresh vegetables, honey, flowers, and more!
  • Old Timers in Bldg. #2 – Provides a look back at true craftsmanship!  Wood working, canning, and more can be seen!
