One mile away we have FREE parking at Lakeforest Mall. There is a shuttle (Yellow School Bus) that will run all day to and from the Fairgrounds. Located at Lost Knife Rd. and Odenhal Ave.

Admission Discounts

Tickets are $12 online and $15 at the gate.

Tuesday, August 15 – Free admission for ages 62 and over from 10 am to 5 pm

Military Day Brought to you by US Army
Thursday, August 17 – Free admission all day for active military in uniform or with a valid military ID from 10 am to 5 pm

Monday, August 14 Brought to you by SUNBELT RENTALS & Wednesday, August 16 – Family Day Ride Special

Monday and Wednesday ONLY one-day ride wristbands will cost $25.00 ALL DAY, you may ride until 11pm! Must be purchased at a Carnival Ticket Booth Before 10:00 PM. Ride all rides but Air Raid, Ride wristbands WILL be placed on wrist at time of purchase, Absolutely no exceptions. (Does not include Fair admission fee).

 

One-day ride wristbands can only be purchased at the Carnival Fun Tagg Kiosk stations located in the Carnival area of the Fairgrounds, or online. The Air Raid ride is excluded from the ride wristband offer. All wristbands are only good until 11pm^ or midnight* on the day they are purchased. Wristbands are good for all ages.

  • Carrie McQueen – Our wonderful stilt walker!  Be on the lookout for her roaming the grounds at the Fair!
  • Chainsaw Carver – Watch one of these carvers turn a huge log into a beautiful sculpture in Farmer’s Triangle!
  • Comedy Hypnotist – Brad Matchett puts on a hilarious show each night at the Fair on the PEPCO an Exelon Company Community Stage – don’t miss it!
  • Fast Action Motorsports – Race fast cars against your friends and other Fairgoers for FREE on the Upper Grounds!
  • Extreme Illusions & Escapes – Be sure to swing by the PEPCO an Exelon Company Community Stage for amazing stage illusions, skillful escapes, audience participation and exciting music!
  • Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show – The Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show will provide lots of laughter, thrills and chills to young and old alike. You will also be entertained while you see logging skills used throughout history, as well as those used today. It’s muscle against machine! This is real competition, at its BEST!  Fun for the whole family!
  • Raptors Up Close – Come see these birds of prey up close and learn all about them! Located on the PEPCO an Exelon Company Community Stage and on the Upper Grounds!
  • Music on Maple – For the first time we will have live music next to the Lone Oak Brewing Grapes and Grain Garden (Aug 15th only) come and join Unity Reggae Band.
  • Show-Me Swine Racers – Don’t miss these adorable racing pigs brought to you by Grant County Mulch! Located near the PEPCO an Exelon Company Community Stage!

Animals

 

Animal exhibits in Old MacDonald’s Barn are open each day beginning at 3pm Friday, August 12th.

 

The Barns display all types and breeds of various animals, such as:

  • Cows
  • Goats
  • Horses
  • Pigs
  • Poultry
  • Rabbits
  • Sheep
  • Alpaca
  • and sometimes babies too!

Shows, Displays, and Demonstrations

ALL OTHER ANIMAL AND BARN EXHIBITS, HOME ARTS, ARTS & CRAFTS AND OLD TIMERS BUILDINGS WILL OPEN SUNDAY, AUGUST 14, AT 12NOON

 

There is an abundance of 4-H, livestock, and exhibits on display at the Fair.

Be sure to visit the Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center Mooo-ternity Ward & Milking Parlor!

 

  • Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center Mooo-ternity Ward – You can check-in frequently to see if a calf is on its way or taking its first steps. You will be able to view the pregnant cows and those that are a few days old with their mothers all day long.
  • The Milking Parlor – This is an excellent educational experience that demonstrates where our milk comes from.

 

The Fair has many interesting displays and demonstrations, such as:

 

  • Home Arts in Bldg. #6 – Here you can see baked goods, quilts, sewing projects, etc.
  • 4-H in Bldg. #6 – Where you can see the 4-H projects ranging from Farm & Garden to art projects.
  • Arts & Crafts in Bldg. #3 – Entries of all ages are displayed where you can view the community’s works of art.
  • Photography in Bldg. #3 – Entries of all ages are displayed where you can view the community’s photographs.
  • Farm & Garden in Bldg. #2 – Here you can see fresh vegetables, honey, flowers, and more!
  • Old Timers in Bldg. #2 – Provides a look back at true craftsmanship!  Wood working, canning, and more can be seen!

Animal shows are held in our Cattle, Swine, and Sheep & Goat Pavilions on various days and times.*

 

Horse events are held in the Horse Arena on various days and times*
