George Fandel

George "Bud" Edward Fandel, 83, of Derwood, MD went to be with the Lord on July 20, 2011. Born March 30, 1928 in Iowa, he was the son of the late Laura Roman and George Leo Fandel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Ethel Rebecca Fandel; sisters, Mildred, Blandid, and Dorthea. He is survived by his children, Anna Ehinger, George Fandel, Debra Hogan, Brian Fandel, Michael Fandel, Mary Hogan, Terrance Fandel, Laura Baker, and Lisa Perras; 21 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He retired from the Defence Mapping Agency. Bud was an avid fisherman and best friend for whoever needed one. He loved the tranquility of the Bay and Ocean with his family and friends.
